Hey everyone! Hope you guys had a FABULOUS weekend, and are ready for Valentines Day tomorrow! However, I have a feeling that most of you are not, since who is that prepared for a Hallmark invented holiday? So, I decided to help you guys out with fun things to do on Valentines Day, no matter what kind of situation you’re in.
If you’re recently in a relationship…
If you only recently started dating someone, you don’t want to go overboard. Especially if you aren’t that serious, you don’t want to freak the other person out with a lavish day planned out. So, I would recommend doing something low key – hanging out and watching one of your favorite TV shows, going out to a casual place like a local diner, etc. Whatever you end up doing, have fun, and don’t take the day too seriously!
If you’re in a long term relationship…
Okay so you’ve been there done that. You’ve been out for dinner and movies, you’ve gone out to fancy upscale restaurants, and stayed in instead of going out. This V-Day, you’re looking for something different to do. So go to a place you’ve been meaning to go to forever! No time like the present, right?
If you’re single…
Number one – do not dwell on the fact that you’re single! There is NOTHING wrong with being single, and you’re certainly not alone. So with no one holding you down on V-Day, you have plenty of options! You can go out with your friends, spend all day eating chocolate and/or Ben and Jerrys, hang out with your besties, or do whatever YOU want to do! Isn’t it nice being able to decide what you feel like doing for once?!
If you recently broke up with someone…
Do NOT spend all day crawled up in bed crying! If anything, the 14th should be a day for you to forget all about your ex. So, do not read old texts that you saved, do not stalk their Facebook page, and do not try calling them to reconcile. Instead, you should go out and remember how awesome you are! Go out to dinner by yourself or with friends and remember how you’re fine without them!
If you HATE Valentines Day..
Hello, why all the hate?! Well if you’re going to hate, fine. But I would strongly recommend avoiding almost every restaurant, movie theater, and any place where a date might be taking place. Just because you’re cranky, doesn’t mean you have to bring others down!
What do you guys think?! How do you plan on spending V-Day?
