I swear these headbands took all of 10 minutes to make. I actually whipped them up on my kitchen counter while the girls were playing. It's a fantastic project for any of you who might not deem yourself as "crafty", all you'll need is some elastic, a few buttons, some felt & a hot glue gun.

I started off by measuring the elastic. Basically, I wrapped it around Sam's head, where a headband would go, & said "is this too tight?" how about this?" When she said it was comfortable I pinched it with my fingers, snipped off the excess & then hot glued the two ends together allowing them to overlap about an inch. Next, I cut three circles out of felt in irregular circle shapes. If they're a little wonky they tend to look more petal-like. Lucky us, right? Make sure each circle is slightly smaller than the one before. Finally I glued the largest petal onto the headband (covering the seam) & then each smaller circle on top, finishing with the buttons. If you do sew you could totally just stitch the button on & go through each layer of felt & the headband at the same time but if you're scared of a needle & thread hot glue is your ticket my friend.

I could've stopped at the pink flower like the picture above but I have a hard time showing restraint, especially when there's a glue gun involved. I also added a smaller white flower & two green felt leaves. I think it's pretty darn cute if I say so myself.
